- What file types are supported?
- PDF, Markdown, HTML, and plain text. The max upload size is 10MB per file. You can also paste a URL to ingest a single page.
- How does the "I don't know" fallback work?
- If the top retrieved chunk scores below a confidence threshold, the bot refuses to answer rather than hallucinate. This prevents misinformation.
- Is my data isolated?
- Yes. Each chatbot has its own Vectorize index namespace. Documents and conversations are scoped per-bot and ownership-checked on every request.
- Can I customize the widget?
- Yes - theme color, position (left/right), welcome message, and input placeholder are configurable per-bot in Settings.
- Can I train the bot on my website content?
- Yes. Paste your site's URL and AskEmbed crawls and indexes its pages automatically. You can also combine this with uploaded files (PDF, Markdown, HTML, plain text).
- Which languages does the widget support?
- English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, German, and French. You can fix one language per bot or set it to auto — the widget then detects each visitor's browser language automatically.
- Can I change or cancel my plan anytime?
- Yes. Upgrades apply immediately after checkout, and you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal in your dashboard.
- What happens when I reach my monthly message limit?
- Once the limit is reached, visitors see a friendly notice that the bot's message quota is exhausted. Usage resets on the first day of each month, and you can upgrade anytime for higher limits.
- Can I delete my data?
- Yes. You can delete individual documents or an entire chatbot from the dashboard — its indexed vectors are removed too. You can also export all of the data stored for your account.
- Will the widget slow down my website?
- No. The widget is a single ~10KB (gzipped) JavaScript file loaded asynchronously. It renders inside an isolated Shadow DOM, so it can't conflict with your site's styles or scripts.
- Does it work with my website builder?
- Yes. The widget is a single script tag, so it works anywhere you can add HTML — WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Shopify, or a hand-built site. No plugins and no build step.
